An update since it's been a while since I've posted. All is still going wonderful with Vaquera. She turned 6 years old on May 9th. It will mark our 1 year Anniversary on September 4 th ! Time is going fast ! She's been so sweet giving me hugs and cuddling with me. I'm so grateful for such a wonderful and amazing best friend. I'm planning on next spring, figuring out a way to get started on riding her. I still have to get my saddle and all of my riding tack I'm going to need and also have someone put a couple of rides on her before I climb on. I am having riding withdrawals bad and I can't wait to ride. First things first though and that's to finish my weight loss journey ( 55 more lbs to lose) and then get my tack. I want to ride her so bad. Until then I'm working on groundwork with her and spend lots of time with her. Anyway, all is incredible with her and I'm so thankful for her. I love her so much. :)

I had a wonderful day with my Vaquera ♥. We worked on groundwork doing our lunging left and right, backing up, and leading. I brought in a wooden pole and set it at an angle for her to jump and walk over. She was being so funny when we were lunging. She had a lot of play in her and she wanted to show off to her horse buddies next door. She was bucking and trotting on her own and was enjoying it so... much. She got tons of praise, rubs, hugs, some carrots, and a good brushing afterwards. Then I got the pasture spotless and gave her her supper. I was out until sunset and sure enjoyed my day. Thank God for the beautiful weather and all the wonderful times i'm having with my baby. ♥ So glad spring is just about here ! ♥ :) I love my Vaquera so so much. She brings me so much joy !!

The Best Valentine's Day Kiss.

♥ Got the best Valentine's Day Kiss from my baby Vaquera today !! ♥ It was supper time for her and I was bringing her her hay. I always let her take a bite before I put it in her trough, and so she took her bite of hay and after her bite, she went to take another bite but, instead she rose up her head and very gently put her lips on my cheek ! ♥ It was so, so sweet !!! ♥ I can't tell everyone enough how much my baby means to me and how much I love her with everything I have. I thank God for her so much every single day. She makes my life heaven !

It's been a while since i've blogged. Things have been going really wonderful with Vaquera and I. She's been such a sweetheart and just makes me the happiest girl in the whole world. She is my best friend and my everything. Her nickers to me bring the biggest smile to my face. :D  ♥ Yesterday, when it was blanketing time I went and grabbed her halter to put it on her and she followed me side by side and... stopped and dropped her head on her own and almost put her halter on herself ! It was so neat !!When I needed to get to her leg strapped hooked on her blanket, she was close to the fence and I said out loud " How am I gonna get to this side to get it hooked on?" As soon as I said that not kidding at all, she moved her hip over for me on her own. It made me so proud that I didn't have to touch her to make her move her hip over she just did it by me asking out loud with words !! I also got to give her a hug and kiss on her nose and boy did it make me extremely happy !! ♥ She is just incredible !! My best Friend for sure. ♥ The day before that, she was loving my Mom petting her and sctarching her ears, and she made us laugh so hard, she yawned about 4 times in a row. Also that day we had a touching moment where I was petting her and she was getting sleeping and she gently laid her head on my leg. Such a heart melting moment ! God I love her so so much !!
